What is Tai Chi and what are the benefits?

Tai Chi is an ancient martial art sometimes referred to as a moving meditation. Research highlights many health benefits, including;

- Improved muscle strength

- Sharper mental focus

- Increased flexibility

- Better balance

Because Tai Chi uses slow movements, you concentrate more on each action, becoming mindful of your body and the space around you. This contrasts with our fast-paced lives, helping to calm the mind and reduce stress.

What shall I wear?

This is a low intensity activity so you can take part in your work clothes (you may wish to change your shoes for comfort).

    I have really enjoyed all of the Tai Chi sessions - a perfect break in the middle of the day, in a very relaxed atmosphere.
